Since the 2020 bungled introductions of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs), Liberal Democrats have argued for common sense exemptions and flexibility. LTNs have great potential and we want them to work for us all but we're appalled at the refusal of the Labour Council to take any notice of local peoples' genuine concerns.
Islington's and London's traffic needs to be reduced but it must be done with everyone having their say.

I support the Liberal Democrat demand for LTN exemptions for disabled people, carers and for local tradespeople. Where LTNs have already been introduced, the Council must urgently hold Citizens Assembly reviews. And no new LTNs should go ahead without full Citizens Assemblies beforehand.
